Alex is passionate about healthy relationships! In his personal and professional life, he strives to speak and teach the language of experiencing connection and live and model a lifestyle of intimacy.
Personally, Alex is in constant awareness of improving (and of course, fully enjoying!) his relationships with his wife and son. His feelings of connection to his wife, Claudia, in multiple ways inspired him to write 40 Forms of Intimacy. His desire to help couples recognize the many ways they feel close to each other and develop a deeper intimacy also prompted this writing.
Professionally, Alex holds thousands of hours of professional experience counseling individuals and couples on a variety of life issues. He earned a master’s degree (with honors) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and holds a bachelors degree (graduating Summa Cum Laude) with a dual major in Psychology and Business Administration.

His training and practice of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps clients break free from trauma, phobias, depression, anxiety, and addictions.
As a Christian Sex Therapist, Alex helps couples identify and overcome blocks to sexual intimacy and recover the sacred design for a sexually safe and mutually satisfying marriage relationship.
He is certified to administer the research-supported PREPARE/ENRICH inventory to engaged and married couples in private and group settings. And as a Seminar Director, Alex also teaches the successful PREPARE/ENRICH approach to counselors, clergy and others.
